Hi All,
I am try to register on Stummi Forum & am not having much luck due to lack of knowledge, there is a question to answer regarding the first train in Germany that ran between Nurmberg & Furth in 1835. I have tried a few obvious answers [in english after ticking the english speaking box further down] but kept getting rejected. Would someone like to offer guidance as to what the answer would be, maybe it is required in German rather than English.

So True , I was relying on the translation provided by Google which didnt make sense. Yes Der Adler is the required answer for the question not what the railway was built for as per Google translation.

How about Bing?
With Bing you can translate to yours language from german.
Not sure if Bing can help you translate to german if you want to write something in the topic.
There is some few members in stummi forum that are writing in english to german members which are nice by writing back in english language. |

Hi
I must say, the Stummi forum is one of the best (definitely the best for German rail trains).
Its servers are often on the brink of collapsing (because of huge patronage and may be they need some upgrade / boost)

There is a possibility that the Stummi Forum is hosted on the cloud sevice provider OVH who have had a fire at one of their cloud centers in Strasbourg. This additional information (linked from the link above) lists some of the large companies and organisations that have lost some services because of the fire. As you can see from this link, customers include ESA (based in the Netherlands, but operates Europe wide). Also Quote: Other big OVH clients affected by the fire included European People's University, Strasbourg Airport, the city of Cherbourg, the Peugeot-Sochaux works council, the Meteor brewery in Alsace, the Clermont-Ferrand rugby club, and even Spanish professional football club Villarreal. so you can see that the affected client list is geographically well spread. An assessment of the damage to customer data is here.I'm not saying this is definitely the reason for Stummis outage, but I suspect it may be.

The front page of Stummi is back up, but the contents are still out of order.  I guess they could change it to "Stymied Forum"? Mike C

here is the Stummi forum explanation translated into English
Due to massive database problems, the forum is currently in restricted operation. This means that the database has been largely reconstructed and stabilized, but the reasons for the strong fluctuations in performance of the database itself have not yet been found and require further measurements in productive operation. Therefore, the forum will be operated with different configuration parameters in the next few days so that further measured values can be accessed. However, delays and short-term outages can still occur.
The forum is released for use immediately after the reconstruction of the last data records that are currently still being processed.
In addition, a change of provider is being prepared, which will place the forum on a (hopefully) more stable basis in the meanwhile increased size.
