I have been able to get hold of one of these locos cheaply, but without a manual. The lok is setup for catanery power but I cannot see how to swap it to power through the track.

Can anyone help me in this regard, and even better send me a scan of the manual?

Many thanks

Sean

Sean, you have to take the housing off, if you know how. and you will find a very small plug with 2 pins, this has to be moved to another spot.

Thank you kbvrod and river6109 both of you helped me solve most of the problem. I have downloaded the parts list and spotted the bit that needs moving, the copper contact "fork" is presently facing the end of the lok, does it need to be moved 90 degrees to point to the side, if so both prongs will touch the same contact strip.

When I put the lok on my programming track and switched power on it ran at full speed off the end of the track, luckily onto thick carpet so was undamaged. I'm hoping that the decoder will kick in and stop it running away when power is via the tracks.

I have moved the switch 45 degrees, as far as it will go, and get the same result when I put power to the track, the lok tries to go off the end at full speed, except this time I stop it.
