DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THE TRANSFORMER CAN MAKE THE LOCO'S VARY IN SPEED FROM ONE DAY TO THE OTHER? i MEAN ONE DAY A LOCO RUNS GREAT AND THE NEXT DAY IT'S SLOW. aLSO, DOES THE TRACK CONFIGURATION HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THIS? THANK YOU.

Can you tell us a bit more about your setup (digital or analog)? Is the layout in a room that has a consistent temperature? Locomotives will run slower if they have gotten cold overnight and not allowed time to warm up again. The oil in the motors doesn't flow if it gets too cold. How about humidity?
