Hi all,

I bought an already mounted 1965 Faller AMS building kit B-4873....the famous VW Van.

Such kits have no motor and no sliders.
When AMS was still in the Faller program one could buy a AMS motor kit to motorize it.
But I have placed a motor in it of one of my other cars.

We did some carpet slotting with our new VW in the bedroom of my son Rick, it was great fun !!
In the video you don’t see the small size, it looks more like regular 1:24 or 1:32 slotcars, but it is of course scale H0 / 1:87.

Marco!
I laughed with delight watching this! Woot Laugh
Never bores me to see how (3!) cats love HO scale!
Have they smacked one off the track yet?

Every time we have a family reunion my older brother recalls "fondly" ...how he patiently cleaned his slot car a couple times and it still didn't run, and then he whipped (as in threw it and smashed) the thing against the wall in dismay. Angry

This of course is not a reflection on the quality of "Faller" cars... must have been an Aurora.

Thanks so much for sharing this!
- Mark

In single point perspective, where do track lines meet?

Hi Mark,

Thanks for liking my AMS !!

To tell you the truth, it has taken me many hours for everything functioned properly.
There were many problems, dirty tracks, no electric contact between the track parts, tires slipping on the rims, five annoying Cats, my wife whining about the slotcar mess on the floor....

And yes our cats have smacked cars off the track, they still have to learn not to do that.

Marco

I must say that vehicle looks a bit larger than 1:87 scale. Amazing speed. The cat must have fun chasing it.
