Ian,

Very nice. I never saw such a tinplate loco shed.
Is it Marklin? Or Kibri maybe?
Why is there a plastic bag in your loco shed?

marco

EDIT: And nice track too ! I see 1947-1953 solid center rail track that I love so much !! ThumpUp ThumpUp ThumpUp

Hi Marco,

I bought the shed last week and when it arrived there was the plastic bag inside it with 4 solid center rail tracks for use inside the Loco shed.

It's made by Märklin and it's in the 1959 catalog, number 7029.

Hi Ian

Nice shedThumpUp

I have one of those as well. I bought mine from a secondhand dealer in Monchen Gladbach in the late 90s. I paid about DM40 for mine.
It came complete with the catenary wire for it.BigGrin

Hi Mike,

E-bay last week...£16.

It's all complete and the doors work, but being honest, it's a little rough around the edges, but somehow that looks ok on a old Loco shed.Smile

Hi,
the condition of any item makes the price.
The loco-shed with 2 tracks (Märklin 412 / 7029) is listed in the new Koll collector catalog with 110 €.
The price 80 € - as Marco mentioned - is a realistic price for a good one.

Ian, you are a very lucky guy with a shed for 14 € !!!

But be aware, the metal loco shed with 3 tracks (Märklin 411 B / 7028) is available with two different colours.
The first one , built 1950-1963, colour beige/blue, is listed in Koll catalog with 140 €,
whereas the beige/brown shed, built 1964-1976, is listed with 80 €.
These prices are for condition "first class"....

Hello Ian , Hello Wolf

Very nice sheds you have, be they "first class" or "well used " I like them all, there is just something special about them that more the modern items seem to lack.
