One more added day before yesterday.

When visiting Märklin Erlebniswelt on Wednesday, I found a 39610 SBB "Kunstlok" (with the gauges on the sides) in the "Fundgrube".

Hi everyone, I'm new to forum. Had Marklin as a child in the 1960's and 70's. Still have those pieces (3005 and 3037) bought by my Dad in Wiesbaden, Germany in 1963. Have about 90 locomotives and 200 pieces of rolling stock. All are mostly 1960-1980 items. Also have an O gauge collection mostly newer 1990's to now (Lionel, Mikes Train House K-Line). I really enjoy this forum.

Hi, new here too. I have 5 loco's, one (3074) is about to go, so that makes 4. I have the 3029 from the start set, which is not running at this time. Also the 3046 (150X 29, SNCF) in very good condition, I'm very proud of this one, a 3000 (who doesn't) and a 3065 V60 with TELEX. This one is mint, it hasn't done more than a few rounds on an oval.

As the 3772 is not in a mint condition, I have decided to modify it to the latest mfx version, possibly with a sound module, if I can fit the speaker.

Thanks, Svein.

Congratulations on your recent purchases as well. Tell me, when you convert the 3772, will you leave the loco body transparent, or are you thinking of painting it?

I will leave the body transparent.
As I mentioned, as the loco is not in a mint condition, I convert it. Otherwise I would have kept it in it's original condition. I do no drastic changes to the chassis, and keep the old parts well stored, so I can any time convert it back to original.

I use the motor from a 60904 kit, and a Märklin mfx sound decoder for Diesel locomotives, M# 60932. As the locomotive is transparent, I will arrange wires and so on very tidy, possibly also with some kind of internal illumination to show the inner parts, controlled by f1 and f2.

Pictures will follow!

Hi Foumaro,

Very nicely filled cupboard.

I notice in the bottom left corner the three SSB wagons and the SSB Class 460 red el-loc on the 5th. shelf.

What I don't see is the SSB wagon with a drivers cabin in one end used for push-pull trains, M* catalog 42178, or do you have one on the layout already?

Certainly,

It is the AE 6/6 - Canton Arth Goldau - from starter sets 29850/51, a rather basic model.
I bought both sets within a year (first one with a MS, the second one with a CS) not realizing that the sets carried the same road numbers - a bit disappointing.

Update to one more...
It´s a very old BR144 from Roco. From around the 70'ies I think.
That is from a time when Roco´s factory AC versions were not exactly "well-running".
And indeed; The wheels where out of gauge, which was quickly resolved. (Thanks to the experience from the ex-Röwa BR420!) -and it is now a very well-running multi-use electric! :-)
Very nicely detailed -for its age- albeit totally plastic. (oh horror! hehe)
As usual with Roco very good electrical solution; Full directional lightchange, and no "bockensprung" on reversal-impulse.
It has no damages, BUT is missing several of the small accessories that usually comes in a plastic-bag with any Roco loco.
Not too bad for 38€!
Best regards

Quoted from Ron Schaffr back in May 2007, on a nice loco, and excellent scenery in which to locate it:

Quote:
[size=1" face="Verdana" id="quote]quote:I have been wanting this one for a long time. I finally decided to spend a little more than I wanted to (my really want it factor) and got it.

Well I guess my buying habits are similar to Ron's, as I quickly make up my mind about what I really need.

It reminds me of an old saying, about what is the difference between a man and a woman.
The woman will buy a $20 item for $10, even though she does NOT want it. Because she SAVED $10!
The man will pay $20 for a $10 item, because he REALLY wants it!

With the arrival of 37613 (see pics elsewhere) and a second hand 39603, the count has risen to 126 [:I]

Some of the other newbies which arrived just before my trip down under include two Ae6/6's (3636 and 37361), a brand new BR 89 (30000), and the last issue of BR 81 (30322) with the large running gear, which also happens to be of the rare variety which was born fully digital Smile

...and I swore to cut expenses this year, sigh [V]

An outsider.
I'm looking for the owner of that horse. He's tall, blonde, he smokes a cigar, and he's a pig!
