A couple of years ago, I started a thread to ask questions about the display / transport cases manufactured by this company:

Unfortunately, while some members of this forum had known about these products, none had yet had any "hands-on" experience with them. Maybe our honorable German members could now shed some light on this issue?

I am very interested in the cases for transporting locomotives. Has anyone acquired any of them? If so, what feedback could you provide?

I have no experiences with trainsafe, these cases were too expensive for me.
I used smaller ones - see pic - which are much cheaper !
They are available in three different sizes: 19,5 cm long, 29 cm and 35 cm long.

I bought some Train-Safe TraveLite (must have been two years ago) and I'm very satisfied with them. It's so much better than putting cars back into the original boxes if you want to take them to a club meeting &c.
TraveLite provides no power to the locos. You can move the cars by hand and lift the loco out. The Roco plastic hand uncoupler is very useful for those tubes.

With the train in the tube, you can safely carry it upright. I can put 4 tubes with 60 cm length into a shopping bag or six of the same size into my rucksack.

I got some Train-Safe Vision tubes last year. This allows to take long trains of the layout without de-coupling them (the manuals warn that modern power-conducting couplers are not made for frequent uncoupling).
You can get them up to 300 cm - more than enough for a 10-piece TGV or an 8-piece ICE 3.
They provide power so trains can drive in and out.

They are expensive. There are cheaper solutions for train display (e.g. empty plastic tubes where you can put C track in).
But for transportation, Train-Safe Travel/TraveLite is nearly without competition (some club members have wooden transport cases that allow for even compacter storage of locos, but AFAIK you can get those only from second hand).

Yes, as part of a "Sammelbestellung" (several club members ordering collectively to get a bigger rebate).

Next month I can post pictures of locos in the open tube. Difficult to describe the shape of the foam inlay, but it holds the locos pretty good without touching the most fragile parts near the wheels.

In the past I worked 5 years in a atelier that was producing all kinds of displays and furniture that was hand made out of PMMA (plexiglas / perspex).
I build lots of custom made displays that looks like the train safe system.

Keep in mind that cheaper plastic displays probably don't have an UV filter.

I actually first heard of the Train Safe System in a publication, and when travelling thru Switzerland prior to the 2005 Marklin Treff, in the company of Nigel and a number of other Marklin enthusiasts from around the world, Nigel sold me on them, and as well they were on display at the Treff (Marklin Days now)
I allready have the track connectors for C & K Track which I bought from Lokshop when they were bailing out of their stock once Train Safe got their own online shop up and running a few years ago.

I currently have a shopping cart saved on their website totalling 1593.89eu containing a good deal of my wishes but not all. It has been there for several years now and modified a few times. I am getting close to at least ordering the Train Safe travel tubes for my Long Henry, 2x240mm & 1x270mm, and maybe the Display Case with Rollers for my Big Boy, I may get a Travel Tube just for it also, which would save dealing with the box and screws at Train Shows

The Travel Tubes keep your trains safe and dust free when transporting them. One of ETE's two rail members told me at Euro West '05 that he, used to fill a Trave safe tube up with two rail Locos when he went home to Holland so he could get his dealer to fix or service them, and just took it on the plane and the Cabin Crew put the tube in the wardrobe, and they allways got there & back unharmed, but not sure they'd allow that these days. Anyway I assumed they wern't Marklin or Trix loks

The Train Safe Vision Tubes are clear and in multi level racks make a very nice display of your trains and allow you to have the lights etc on
