Hi,
Does anybody have a copy of the 3023 instruction booklet?. Could somebody scan a copy and make it available on the web or email me? or if you have a source in the web where I can find it?.

Thank you very much for your attention!

Eduardo Palacios

Eduardo,

There is some information to be found on this forum but it goes back to 2006 or something.
A full instructionbooklet was not made available for 3023 and 3024,it was merely a leaflet with a list of spareparts and pictures of the interior of the loco, but perhaps that helps you.
I will look again tonight for the relevant topic.
Must say this is a real nice Maerklin loco if in good cosmetic condition.
There was a blue one and a green one, technical identical.
In case of doubt, bring it to a Maerklin service point for a proper overrhaul,i think the loco is worth it.

Cheers,
Paul.

Jhon if you read this post, do you have a PDF of this book?

Eduardo,

What are you looking for?
What is the problem with your loco?
What is it you are hoping to find in the booklet?
I think there is really not much to be found in the booklet,i think it only holds the exploded view as given in the link i gave you.

Cheers,
Paul.

Hi Paul,
I have the 3923 (kit), It is in almost brand new condition. It´s in so nice condition that now I like the instruction leaflet even if it is a copy just as a reference.
Regards
Eduardo

3923 is that correct?
Typing error perhaps?

Hi Paul,

3923 is the correct number for the kit-version of the 1970s.

Sample of a 39XX-box, the numbers were either hand-written or stamped.

Markus,

Conflicting information i found on internet.
The 3923 was issued between 1972 and 1980,says one source.
No mentioning about a kit or anything.
Also there seems to be a Hamo 2-rail version with the same number.
Finally, the newly designed BR23 also has number 3923.
Eduardo keeps asking for an instruction leaflet,i think we have given everything what is to be found in that respect.

Kind regards,
Paul.

Hi Paul,

The HAMO 3023/24 was a normal 3-Rail AC-loco. In the mid-1960s the HAMO-brand was used for reissues of older models (3011/23/24) and for special foreign imprintings (3052/3063). The HAMO-DC-line started in 1968. These locos usually had 83XX numbers.
The new class 23 have 5-digit numbers.

Regards

Markus

In the Märklin catalog in the early 1960-ies there were two engines that were construction kits - 3937 DB E41 and 3921 DB V200.

My brother and I, as the fourth Märklin engine, got a 3921 that was bought in Hamburg when we were there on vacation in 1965. (The three first engines were a 3000 each and then a Märklin 3030 a model of Swedish State Railways, SJ, Da. I still have my 3000 and both the Da and the V200).

Later in the 1970-ies Märklin made some earlier models available as spare part kits and I got myself a 3901 this way, a DB E63 in green livery.
