Hi Guys - Anyone have a Jeco model, comments? Not overly fussed about window or door being in wrong place, don't know where they should be anyway, running characteristics, general quality and so on. Jeco Rapid in particular....

Hi Jeremy, Do not have my Jeco order yet, this is what I know. Most models are typically DC or DCC with limited AC runs. For example the Rc2 and Rc3 models that have just arrived from the factory are only 30% AC. Jeco is tied in with MJ - Hobby store located in Hägersten (Stockholm) and run by the Wallin family. I have been dealing with Jimmy Wallin, he has been very helpful. http://www.mjhobby.se/ info @ mjhobby.se Jeco Ra Rapid http://www.mjhobby.se/mj....asp?qsLang=eng&c=38Jeco Rc http://www.mjhobby.se/mj...p;id=902&code=902600One recent change. These were originally slated to have ESU LokSound V4.0 decoders. Now they will come with ZIMO MX644D sound decoders and a new custom sound file. r/Thomas |

I have a few of their models and would say that they are highly detailed and of good quality. All mine are AC with sound. DU-338 (The old Swedish loco, brown) Ra10-994 "Rapid 10" (orange/white version) Y6 (Railcar - Orange) "Osten" Ufv-Uf6 ("trailer" for the Y6 - also orange) I am waiting for the X2000

Jeco/MJ-Hobby are very good to deal with...
It is quite amazing that they are doing this, also producing their own Jeco line while having a general mrr business in the MJ-Hobby store.
I have been a customer of MJ-Hobby for more than 10 years and have never been disappointed with them. I do buy most new M stuff from Lokshop in Germany, but the other things as Roco, Fleischmann, and the electrical/landscaping/painting bits needed I have bought from MJ-Hobby....
Actually ordered a Heljan T21 diesel tonight along with some general spare part bits...
Must confess, have not got any Jeco model yet... But the guys are great to deal with... |

I got an eMail Friday (sent at 14h53) informaing about a "launch party" on Thursday June 21st in MJ-Hobbyexperten's shop. Mentioned also at MJHOBBY.se. (Swedish version)
