Is that a new construction by Jeco AB or is that still a customized Roco model like the ones that they were marketing a decade ago? The photo looks like the Roco model with a few improvements.
Regards

Mike C From all information I have, and it comes both from sources in Sweden and the shop MJ-Hobbyexperten, which has the same owners as Jeco, this is entirely their own design, done for them and produced in China. Some more pictures here.

Yes X2 will also be produced in China, we in Sweden can only be happy that someone do some good new model for the local market, I don’t see so much from Märklin except their old Rc engine and short passenger couch personally believe that other markets subsidize the German new models The owner of Jeco shows yesterday the last X2 sample before the final next week and I was real impressed. It will produce inside same factory as NMJ and have the same technical features like their high speed BM73 model Jeco have also decided to start using the Zimo decoders instead of ESU on future models. |

Well , since you said that. I might consider the X2000s as it 's a good gesture to release them with sound as well. Plus hopefully , the made in China defects will not affect the quality of the X2000. Btw , where can I get the X40? I think I have seen a model of it somewhere. |

The fact that Jeco will also be switching to Zimo from ESU also furthers my suspicions that there may be some cooperation between Jeco and Roco on this model. I compared the photo of the Jeco model with the Roco one and there are some features that are very similar and others that are slightly different. I also noted on the photo that the Jeco model is equipped with a Flusterschleifer, similar to Roco, LSM and a few other brands.

Roco Rc5-6-7 model has nothing in common with Jeco makes from China...
As I mentioned earlier, I think Märklin will have some difficulty selling their Rc engine in the future, it show already when the local dealer change their two special edition to delivered December and Mars next year. |
