This piece of information was sent to me. Can subscribers please clarify these:
During the night of 17/18 October, a fire destroyed the vehicle depot of the DB Museum in Nuremberg. The cause of the fire is still unknown. More than 20 historic vehicles which were stored at the depot in the Gostenhof district of Nuremberg have been destroyed, including a replica of the historic "Adler" which was in working order. The vehicles burned to the ground after the roof of the 1500 square-metre shed caved in. The museum and the outdoor vehicle exhibition, both located close to Nuremberg central railway station, have not been affected by the fire. Another replica of the "Adler" locomotive is located in the museum.>
If this is true - what a pity. A void in the history of German railway[:(!] |

Disaster come one after another, what happen to this world?
I also felt honored as I was able to have a look at the Gauge I of the "Adler" made in 85, a local collector bought it sometime ago in Germany. It's a beauty.
Bad feeling to know that it was one of the victim in the fire.
