Slightly off topic. Every weeek we have a show on TV called "The Collectors". Walked in a bit late last night and caught the end of a Segment . Some "Middle Aged" Gent was showing part of his MRR collection. Has about 5000 items , locos and Rolling stock.
Two weeks ago there were another pair who between them had made a model of EVERY loco and rolling stock used by the New South Wales Railways since inception. All out of Metal, some HO Steamers were Live Steam. N

My latest acquisitions..one old and one new:
First, I have been wanting one of the DR streamliners for a long time, but they have always gone for more than I wished to pay. Finally scored a 3089 BR03 in mint condition:

Also, I finally got my SVT-137 seen here:

Two more loks off my "must have" list! |

Up three today.
I walked by (just by pure luck, I say to my wife, after parking the car in the nearest parking house) a MMR shop in Winterthur, Switzerland today.
I bought a SBB set, M # 37512, containing two Ae 3/6 II locomotives, number 10421 and 10456.
And I found an old M # 3772, DB 212 225-7, with a transparent body, from 1985. I think this was supposed to be in a dealer demonstration layout when Märklin digital was introdused. The body has turned slightly yellowish, but not too bad.
Photos will follow when I come home from the holiday. |
