Hello,
I am in the process of expanding my HO layout and would like to include a finicular railway (as opposed to an aerial tramway). I have seen them before on museum layouts, but have not been able to locate one that is manufactured for the general public. Is anyone aware of a supplier/manufacturer? Thanks in advance
Jeff

Brawa had a funicular model, but it is no longer produced. Several members here have them on their layouts, as does the Marklin Club I belong to. You would have to try and hunt one down on ebay or suchlike.

Keep in mind that the Reynaulds link is to the N gauge version, but there was an H0 version of that funicular as well.

For current Brawa funiculars, check http://www.brawa.de/en/products/h0/funiculars.html

To aid the search, it is called a funichular railway. This will probably get more hits on the net

Cheers,

Actually it is called Funicular or Standseilbahn (German)

Good hunting!

This may help you to get to the website Jeremy provided but I don't think it is this type of Funicular cable car our member is after,
Dave has mentioned it and here is a video of mine.
I was quite shocked when I looked up at Brawa's product list not to find any signals, funcicular cable car oand other products they just wiped off their product list

Nev just recently installed one, be interesting to hear where he got one from.

Technically that is a Cable Car not a Funicular.

Got mine 6 years ago from a now forgotten dealer in Germany. Even then I had to hunt around. At that time Brawa were still producing Funiculars.

Have not run it yet. still have to wire it up and connect the car cables.
