The train set on the picture is a “prototype” and not with the right color! Nice to see that even a small country like Sweden can get exclusive models for years with only Rc locomotives Don’t forget to preorder your Swedish X2000 high-speed train Link to store MJ Hobby Experten |

I must say the silver/gray version does look really good and would probably have been a definite buy if I collected Swedish models. Even though the price has to be high for the model I would have some agony if buying it though. A 7 part set would not come in without a noticeable hole in the wallet.. |

Tomorrow will be the big day when MJ-Experten/Jeco will have a release party for their X2000 model The item has already green delivery light in their web shop Then we should celebrate our midsummer night on Friday and drink snaps (shot) and eat lot of herring |

From the limited testing I did, it ran very well. It worked fine in analogue, but due to the fact that I have an old Central control (6022) and an 80f (6036) and not having a clue what address the decoder had - meant that it took me three attempts to find the right address. I started with 03 (as for all Roco digital models) and then when that didn't work, I tried 01 - no success, and then 02 - heureka! it worked! (I'm happy they didn't go for 80 with my methodology for finding the address - the well known 'trial and error'). Besides the driving, I liked the flashing tail lights as the prototype has.

Can any of the X2000 owners tell us whether the body is lightproof. I guess there is no interior lighting installed by the factory. |

The construction of this model is similarly like NMJ NSB BM73b so mounting interior lighting should be possible The bistro wagon and Zimo sound decoder (recorded by Herr Heinz Däppen) arriving two to three weeks |

The original first blue version will arrive next Friday The picture shows the prototype model that is not the final appearance! Can only add to the previously gray AC version works great on C-track Need to give JECO team praise for a great nice Swedish model that has been missing for a long time! Hej Jonas - the lighting kits look wonderful!
My wife and I took the X 2000 from Malmö to Göteborg in the summer of 01. The train was beautiful, and the ride was as smooth as glass.
The prices that you listed - do they include VAT?

Nice Paul that you and wife enjoined the trip with train, some complain that it gets seasick on board The prices on the website include 25% VAT. A boat comes packed with what, yes a real >> X2000<< from China, the only one exported 1993 will be back in Sweden August 24. You can follow the >> boat<< with the train position on this >> link<< The railway company SJ AB have renamed X2000 to SJ 2000 so it match their new SJ 3000. Now with cab light and interior lights. And with TAMS EC it was possible to listen to F17- not really good to understand. Neither the Swedish nor the English part of the anouncement. Edited by user 05 November 2012 19:37:09(UTC)

Hej Jonas,
I just picked up a complete Heljan X2000 (6 pieces) set at a show. I think the price was OK - about 450 SEK.
How difficult is it to convert the DC lok to 3-rail AC?

Hard to say as I have never seen one. If you find a good place for the pick up shoe then the rest schould be easy depending on what wheels are fitted. But I cannot imagine that the Heljan is as good as the Jeco X2000. |

Hi Martin, It is nowhere near the quality of Jeco. But then again, it's nowhere near the price either! I think I can convert it, but it will take some work. The motors are these very small Japanese units that may be a challenge to re-wire, but I'll give it a shot when I have the time. Paul

Hello,
Sorry for the "old topic revival".
I am currently working on the "real" X2000 train overhaul development.
I would like to know if this model is still available, and, if so, at what price.
I would also like to know if the bodies are metal or plastic.
Thank you very much and best regards. |

Brakepad,
Are you referring to Jeco or Heljan?

Paul Hello Paul, Thank you for your reply. I was asking about the Jeco model. Thanks and regards. I assume that you are looking for an AC-version. The Swedish shop MJ-Hobbyexperten has got the older livery still in stock. You can add on decoder. Another shop, Modelljärnvägsspecialisten has one in grey livery but only as DC-version in stock. I am a customer of both shops and have good experiences from them. Note though that MJ-Hobbyexperten is in the Stockholm region where I live I have therefore picked up everything that I have bought in the shop. The shop is owned by the owners of Jeco. Modelljärnvägsspecialisten is located in Luleå some 900 km north of Stockholm and I have never been to the shop, only used the Internet-shop and taken delivery by mail or Schenker Privpak. A third shop, Mj-Specialisten, (from which I have never bought anything) seems to be able to deliver both versions. They indicate 10 days delivery time.

Hi Brakepad,
I have been doing business with the shop in Luleå for several years now. They are great to work with.

Thank you very much Thomas.
Anybody can enlighten me regarding the differences between the 2 different AC grey model part numbers, B111 and B113?
Thanks and best regards. |

All, Update on my Heljan X 2000 set. A friend from my club suggested I try to kit-bash a Märklin F7 (eg, the 3060 SantaFe) chassis into the Heljan lok body. The wheel arrangement (BoBo) is the same, and the wheelbase dimensions are almost identical. The Märklin chassis is heavy, and will easily allow me to convert it to digital and sound. Paul
