Hi, I'll be in Frankfurt next Friday and want to stock up on stuff. Any recommendations for a good dealer?

Hi there.
I have never been to the heart of the city of Frankfurt, but you could try these five places:
Conrad Electronic SE Abt. Modellbahn Zeil 58 + 64 60313 Frankfurt
Hans Dersch Spielwaren Eckenheimer Landstr. 115 60318 Frankfurt
Modellparadies am Hbf. Berkatex GmbH & Co. KG Karlstr. 12 60329 Frankfurt
Modellparadies am Hbf. Norbert Hoffmeister Karlstr. 12 60329 Frankfurt
S. Meder OHG Berger Str. 198 60385 Frankfurt
Conrad Electronic is typically an electronics store, but I think they also have a department for electronic toys where they stock Marklin.
Are you going anywhere else other than Frankfurt? If you are you could also enquire at toy stores. Besides hobby and model train shops, Marklin products are also available at most, if not all, toy stores elsewhere in Germany because Marklin is so plentiful over there.
Hope this helps.

Hi Keith
Thanks for that. These were also the shops I saw on the Marklin website. Unfortunately, it'll just be Frankfurt but I'm hoping to find some good deals. In any cse they'll be cheaper than here in kuala lumpur. I'll write a report on what's available.
Cheers Vijay

I just returned from Frankfurt yesterday. I have had particularily good luck with Meder for used items. This time I picked up a 3048 (BR 01) in lovely condition including box for Euro 96 and a green tin plate personen wagon - 4021, I believe. On a previous trip I bought a grey BR52 for Euro 80. Meder also offers the Tax Frei forms. Guten Reise!

Why do grown men play with trains? Their wives insist they are insane But their dreams they won't let down the drain 'Cause there ain't no thing so hard to lose as those disappearing railway blues. |

Hi, There is an incredible shop on Romer Platz. Unfortunately, I can't recall it's name... Also the big department store Kaufhof in downtown has a huge toy section with tons of Marklin.
