I have recently got a couple of Trix Orient Express coaches from ebay... I have one 43xxx 3R AC version, and a couple of 23xxx 2R DC version... Since these coaches are fitted with interior lighting, I thought of doing some clever rewiring of them so I can get the DC coaches shining with interior lights too... Since I don't want lots of sliders & heavy conversion efforts, I have a plan... This means connection of a small cable or current conducting couplers between the coaches. It also means I have to get into the 23xxx DC coaches and separate the "+" from the rail connection. Since these are precious great looking coaches, I do not want to break anything with my usual hammer & screwdriver method - so I have to ask... How do I open these without damaging them... ? |

Hi Juhan, I think this will help: Copy&paste in a new window. Regards Markus

Thanks Markus!!! Was just about to add to my post that the 42755 set maybe has a leaflet showing how, and I got the answer regarding that even before writing... Will have a try at it tomorrow, afraid I am too tired tonight... |

Had a quick look with one coach... Seems like you have to guess where to pry with the screwdriver since nothing is visible from the outside... Didn't dare to pry too hard, so coach is still unopened... Webmaster attached the following image(s): |
