Hi all!

New member and my first post.

Have just restarted my Märklin H0 again. Been in the n-scale for a couple of years but now I'm back with a new model railroad and for my collection of Swedish locos and wagons.

Anyway, I got me a new CS2 60214 (from a starter kit) and it works like a charm.

Started to test RocRail and got it up and running within 30 minutes yesterday.
Except for one thing. Mfx did not work at all!!!
Yes, it's fully supported but a little tricky to set up, but it's supported.

For those of you who might get into problems here is what I discovered.

When defining the controls for the system-ID, I entered "CS 2" with a white space when naming it.
I used the same name i System-ID in the loco settings (even if its not obvious and documented completely).
No mfx-locos worked.

As an old programmer I begun to test for programmers misstakes, and removed the space in both the control-settings and in the loco-settings. Restarted the RocRail (and server) and VOILA - IT worked.

So by shorten the control (the name to CS2 internally in RocRail) to "CS2" it worked.

It has nothing to do with the CS2 or mfx att all. It was a bug in RocRail. But I thought it was a good piece of information if someone more is using RocRail.

RocRail anyway, looks very nice and I will continue to test it on my litle model railway. I want to combine manual control and a shutle route. I think this combo might work. The shutle function in CS2 is not enough since it can't handle decissions and control turnouts/signals.

Regards from Sweden

Hi Ulf, welcome to the forum!

It's nice to get a new member who starts by offering information instead of asking for it! Smile

Feel free to pick our brains if you do need advice, though!

Small C track layout, control by MS2, 100+ trains but run 4-5 at a time.
