It's not often that I get puzzled out !
But this 74030 C-Track Centre Rail Isolator has really got me baffled.
Can somebody please explain step by step how this gadget gets fitted ?
I just can't seem to get it !?!?!

Simply push it over the two halves of the metal contact.

Sometimes you must move it a little bit from left to right and back to get the two halves together.
Or use a pair of tweezers to push them together.

The little hook on the plastic thingies should point to the bottom.

Sometimes it takes one second to get them on, sometimes it takes 30 seconds. It'll be more easy if you got the first one in place.

A Tom Says just push it on with the tab to the floor. I start on one side and then move it so it slides on both.
AS Tom says either 5 seconds or 5 minutes. its the luck of the draw.

Sometimes there is a little piece of plastic tag on the inside end that slows you down.

I had to take a pair of tweezers an crimp the metal tabs together before sliding on the isolators.

If all else fails the isolators make great traffic cones.

I can understand that when using C-track and the ability to reuse the track elements,....wouldn't it be easier to simply cut the 3rd rail connections?

I am very thankful that Tom has helped me out with this.
As Tom says, you just "Simply push it over the two halves of the metal contact" !
Last night, I just went home and applied this logic, and it worked !
Just don't know why I could not fathom it out for myself.

I still think there could have been a better design.........
Perhaps a little slider switch located underneath which could be adjusted with your thumb.
With M-Track, a little bit of newspaper folded in two would have done the trick.

That's the great thing about this forum - getting help when you get stuck !
As with many things, when you know what to do, you can do it !
