A woman in Thailand showed many onlookers at an international banana day, the different ways you can use bananas, in cooking, milk shakes, sweets etc. etc.
One man was knocked unconscious getting to close to the action.

Hi all, This is a guide to feeling fruity. Head Researcher Ian Stephen-Houston of the University of St. Andrews found dark fruit and vegetables cause an increase in yellow skin tone, that's sexier than a suntan. High levels of antioxidant carotenoid produces the best looking skin. Carotenoids are responsible for the red colouring in fruit and vegetables such as carrots and tomatoes. Nothing has been mentioned about bananas. I think the whole affair is a banana compote plot with a bunch of members willi nilli participating. John |

If you have a transformer freight car next to your Banana Wagon, does that mean you have an Electrified Banana in your consist? Who's Banana is the largest? Ian: Same here, just won an auction on Ebay and another banana wagon is on the way. That will bring my fleet to three. And Ian you are right, I love the price, less than $14 US. Now I simply need to make a Banana factory for the wagons. I will post pics once it arrives. I am also bidding on a few other items so who knows this could be a good week for my Railroad. Chris

Latest acquisition. Picked it Friday. Was originally a kit, but unfortunately it must have been much loved as the decals are just about gone. Somehow the banana train lost this one at the brewery And here's the original box Well I've lost count, so all I'll say is that I have a couple of bunches More to follow, with a real special one. |

New Banana wagon arrived the other day. I know have it side by side with the original one I purchased. I thought at first it was the same car but after closer examination it is different. Notice the roof color. Also various plastic parts on the wagon are crisper but all of the numbers seem to be the same. I also noticed that one of the decals is on just slightly crooked so I am wondering if at some point this was one of the Kit cars I see mentioned in this thread. In any event a very nice car to add to my fleet of three total banana wagons. Chris

Chris, this could be a stupid question, but do both wagons have figure decals or is one spray painted on. Reason I ask is that the very early plastic models had the figure spray painted (as shown in picture) on, decals didn't come until well later, late 60's or early 70's I think. I think this style came out in the early 50's. |

The figure on both are clearly painted on. When I was referring to a decal I was talking about the large black square on the lower left side of the wagon. In one instance it looks like it is slightly not aligned perfectly straight and has the look of a decal that wasn't placed on correctly. Now I could be wrong and it could be that is was painted and it just wasn't done perfectly square.

Collecting banana wagons can manifest infection, because when I saw this stand Monday in the display case at my local model train pusher. Yes I was sold and so was also the wagon - sold to me. Both sides. |
