I have an older analog set-up. I purchased a 6021 controller for it and figured I'd start by installing a C80 loco decoder that I found on eBay. I thought these had dip switches but don't see any on the board. How do you address the loco?

Hi Carl,

You're right, C80 decoders should have DIP switches. Can you show us a photo of your decoder? Maybe someone here can tell you what it really is.

The standard C80 had DIP switches. Some special versions had fixed addresses that can only be changed at the factory (say Märklin).

Some pictures of standard C80s with DIP switches can be found here:

I think I've identified it as an early delta 6603 decoder. Have a look here:

http://decoder.x-train.d...e=decoder/delta/6603.php

It's the one at the bottom.

It could be 6603 Delta decoder, address selection with 4 solder bridges (top left on your picture, left bridge appears to be closed, three bridges left open, current address should be 78).

See the 3rd decoder on this page:

Thanks. I'm assuming this is the version without the dip switches. Do you know how to tell the code so I can link it to my 6021?
