Here are the links to the videos for the Maerklin 37044 and Trix 22244 models.

The horn seems to sound better on the Trix version of the video.
I am not certain, but it seems to me that the narrator was commenting on the Maerklin model having a better current collection than the Trix DC version.

At least we can tell that both models turn left very wellBigGrinLOL

The mechanism noise of the Trix locomotive is thunderous! I hope they did better on the Märklin version.
Best regards,

For what it's worth, my Märklin Re 4/4I (#37044) is very quiet.
I'm not quite sure of what could be the source of the noise in the Trix model. One would expect that the driveshafts/ and gearing are the most likely candidates for producing his kind of noise. On the other hand both of my other Re 4/4 Is , which have the Soft Sinus Drives are even quieter while the driveshaft and "gearbox" are practically the same as in the latest Re 4/4I model.
Kind regards,
Guus

I finally got to a chance to comment to the "Swiss train announcement". "Echte Schwyzerduetsch" I think not... There have already been a lot of comments in Swiss Forums where it has been noted that the Swiss say "Perron" or "Gleis" instead of "Bahnsteig" and even if they did, they would probably pronounce it "Bahnstieg" instead. On top of that, I am not certain that I have ever heard a Swiss say "Numero" instead of "Nummer".
I have one last comment... I can see including a departure announcement on a lok decoder, as the lok will be in the station when it is played, but what is the point of putting an arrival announcement, which should be played before the train comes into the station, which clearly would be in the station and not coming from the lok which has not arrived yet.

Danke vielmol but I would prefer they used regular loksound or similar where users could put in their own Bahnansagen.

Other than this miniscule issue, the lok is really nice (and quiet).

Regards
