I don't know if this is in the right category but here we go:
A long time ago, I read Phil Collins liked modeltrains.
He didn't even finish his latest music album, his son's modeltrain set had to be completed first :p
I didn't know he was that enthousiastic about it.

Does anybody know what his brand is? Does he drive Märklin?

Oh yes, I'm a huge fan of Collin's work.

I think Phil Collins's layout is a Hornby, and his layout is not as big as Rod Stewart's.

There are so many other celebrities who enjoy model trains and railroading...

Cheers,

Always loved Genesis, Phil Collins. He is a good actor too. I thought he was great in the movie "Buster" about the great train robbery. I thought it was very clever how they rigged up the Brit rail signal to stop the train. I never knew he was into our hobby. Thanks for the info! Cheers, PeterSmile

Pete Waterman from the 80's producer/song writer team "Stock Aitken Waterman" is into train to, here is a quote from Wikipedia:

"He is the owner of significant collections of both historic and commercial railway locomotives and rolling stock, a passion and expensive hobby made possible by the huge commercial success of the acts he signed. "

PS. I'm an old Genesis fan too.

Maybe one should start to listen to Rod Stewart...seems to be quite some guy Tongue Wink

That layout was amazing...wonder if he had some help making it or if it really is made entirely by himself?

Cool anyway! Thanks for sharing Damon!

Rod Stewart's layout featuerd on the cover of the December 2007 issue of Model Railroader magazine. It only featured half of the layout, Three Rivers City, Of which most of the buildings were built in hotel rooms while on tour. someone else did the benchwork for the layout.
The December 2010 issue will again feature his layout
