They were "1968 news" to replace the 4030 and 4031 tin corrugated cars.
But about plastic body, more old was the 4050 French stainless steel corrugated coach, since 1964.

Not factory, but here's mine on my first post-adolescence layout. I replaced the pantos, but have since put the original type back on. Much more appropriate.
