Hello,

Here are some pictures of Walthers-Cornerstore United Trucking Transfer Terminal ( http://www.walthers.com/exec/productinfo/933-3005 ) that I have recently completed :

This was my first attempt to paint mortar between bricks ... and I am happy with the results.
I first covered the original plastic with a coat of Humbrol # 49 Matt Varnish from a spray can. I randomly painted some bricks with Humbrol # 70. Then I painted all other details such as concrete ( Floquil Aged Concrete # 110016 ), wood ( Humbrol # 110 + wash # 33 covered with # 49 Matt Varnish ), windows and door ( Humbrol Satin # 164 ), rolling shutters ( Humbrol # 56 ) and door step ( Humbrol # 145 ).
I made then the mortar wash according to a "recipe" published in John Pryke's excellent book "Building City Scenery" ( http://store.yahoo.net/kalmbachcatalog/12204.html ) : mix of PolyScale Concrete # 414317, water, alcohol and drops of detergent.
Corrugated roof is painted with Humbrol #56 and a wash of a mix of # 29 & # 33.
Inside is painted with Humbrol # 33.
On the other hand, I had to use some Evergreen beams in order to get straight walls and roof because most of the plastic parts were curved.
Having no permanent layout and consequently no idea of the future use of this terminal, I have not added details such as the provided signboards or window advertising.
Conclusion : a cheap but nice looking building that can fit not only North American layouts but also European layouts.
Pierre.

I hope no one visits a poor Southener's layout in Brooklyn. Intruders beware of Gators.
