Looks like you can purchase a Model Power brand building and it looks like a old Pola brand. Faller also has some of these same molds. Does anyone know what the difference is? I have bought a couple of these Model Power brand buildings and they seem large in scale compared to the Kibri. Is Kibri smaller than Faller and Vollmer ETC? I like the looks of Pola - not quite as new looking as some Faller but they seem a bit larger in sale.

Any thoughts?
Thanks in Advance

BigGrin Hello David. I have not seen any in years, but you are correct. The model Power were re packed Pola and Faller after Faller took over Pola. I have noticed difference in scale with Vollmer kits more than others. They seem a bit smaller. I had the Model power car dealership and it pictured Herpa cars on the box, but had Lima hollow body cars actually in the kit. The same building was used for the computer center store. I later replaced it with Faller hexagon shaped dealerships. Pola kits are mainly G scale now. I had found some nice older Pola/Faller ho kits at the store over on Harper & 8&1/2 mile. I'm sure you know the one. You might find some at the big Gratiot Valley show/sale at south Macomb college in November. I used to attend that regularly and found nice items. as for variance of scale, I don't find it a big issue, as in prototype, window sizes also differ from one building to the next. many modelers use the Faller Z scale castle for background use, and it looks fine.

I have been able to purchase many Model Power kits. These were indeed made by Pola (now Faller). They are usually less expensive and may have a few less details and do not normally have a light mask. Many of the buildings on my little layout are Model Power kits. Take a look here:

The station, the building behind the fire truck, the building being demolished, the movie theater, and the back row of my town square are all Model Power kits. I assembled them, weathered them, and added light masks made from black construction paper.
