For some reason known only to them, Noch have stopped producing their roadbed for Z scale track sections.
I have it on reasonbly good authority, however, this product was produced for them (rather than Noch producing it themselves) by someone else.
I get the impression it is still available but probably only directly from the manufacturer - if they'd be willing to sell directly to an end user, of course.
Does anyone know who this would be, please? It might be a company called Merkur, but I doubt it.
Thanks,
Pete

That's the thing, Gary. HO is still available - but Z isn't.
Thanks anyway,

I use Itty Bitty Lines www.ibl.com cork roadbed. They also offer switch. crossover, & double slip pieces. They also offer small pieces to mount the catenary masts along the ROW. Robert |

Yes, I use the IBL cork roadbed too. It's good stuff. The only thing is, of course, that you have to add your own ballast, but then it can look better - have you ever seen a stretch of railway line with ballast in a uniform profile and colour? |

Hi Pete. The page you need is http://merkur.webshop-se...amp;ps=351&subid=352If you are using Firefox, you can install the Add-On World Wide Lexicon Toolbar and you will get a pretty good translation. Well, I have to do that as I don't understand German. All the best, Chris. |

Thanks, guys. I've registered with them and had a look at their prices - very reasonable they are, too!
10 - 20 days before the items are available, so I guess they're made to order!
