It was reported almost two weeks ago that this model was ready to be shipped to dealers. There have been a few reports of modellers who may have allegedly received theirs. To date, I have not found one dealer listing this item in stock, nor seen any of this item on eBay or other auction sites.

Does anybody have any specific information on this model? According to Maerklin, it is still listed as a February Delivery.

Thank you in advance for your assistance in providing more information.

Regards

Mike C

Can I ask just who Mr Cee is. If this is Mike then how does he aquire a name other than that on his profile.
Regarding the model if there is information then why is it not posted here and what is all this rubbish about an inner circle. If this forum is being used for PMs by some other group can I suggest to the moderators that this should be stopped.

Goofy I cant find any information in this thread about the model.

Let me see, what could Lutz have meant?

Which Forum could it be?

Stummi? Nope.

David,

in this forum, I use the name Mike C. In the Swiss Hag Forum, I used Mike Cee, which is the name I use for Disc Jockeying. Lutz is using the moniker from that forum to refer to me here.

The forum is not being used for PMs by some other group. Lutz simply mentioned that he had some photos that he would send to people who asked , if they were on his good list.

Since I first posted this topic, not one person has provided any photos, even though they might have already received a copy of the initial delivery.

Does this mean if we wait for another 2 month, photos should be in abundance ?
What price do we have to pay to see them now ?
Is it a limited edition of supplying a photo ?
When will the innercircle notify the outercircly ?
I can smell something in the air and it is coming from the innercircle, it needs airing.
All the locos are in front of me and I'm not telling you anything about them, unless I'll get 10 out of 10 for the Re 10/10 and 6 out of 6 for the Re 6/6
I'll give you a 100 % assurance my photos will be the first ones you'll see last.
I'm just going out and I'm getting a new suit for when the locos arrive, I'm also getting a haircut and my antique display cabinet has been french polished for the occasion.
I can't wait going to the toilet, I'm piss.... myself laughing.

It's like a life story of a caged test monkey waiting for his/her food every hour.
Has it come yet, have you got it yet, has it arrived yet, have you got a photo yet, a mirrow image will do, I demand a photo, I need a photo right now, remember it's me, why haven't I got a photo as yet, I'm getting quite paranoid not having a photo as yet, I need the photo urgent.

2 weeks later: I think we've got enough photos now, I think we've covered the photo topic enough, It was me who posted the photo first, No, it was me,

Please children, it's time for beddy time and don't forget your dummy.

So...

Does anyone on this forum actually have one of these yet? (simple question, yes or no!)

Thanks Tom, nice picture. I took the liberty of editing your post to include the picture in your post.

Another model, that once I see a decent picture of it, makes me more receptive to the idea of buying one!

Hi John. I have two with a further two on order. Have posted a photo on the special 3 D section of the site.

Seriously this looks pretty good and if and when available I think I will get a real one. Perhaps when the first one arrives we could have a test report as it is a while since we had one of these.

Well, I must say I sympathise with Evil's comments, Juhan's comments not withstanding (also agreed with).

Lutz, if you do not wish to post your pictures here that is your choice, likewise if you do choose to post them. What we do not want to see from you is the incessant grandstanding we seem to get from you, and the "Will I, won't I, I might if you're good" attitude that seems to pollute most threads you engage in. Please either stick to the point, or keep quiet!

When you were little, do you remember the little kid who lived down the road, who seem lucky enough to always be the first to get all the new toys?

He would show off the new toy to everyone, but when the others ask if they can play with, he would sulk and did not want to share.

A few months down the track, everyone else got the same toy also and happily, everyone can play together, except for the lonely little kid, who did not want to share in the first place and now had no friends left.

Little wonder that some adults didn't seem to learn from their childhood experience.

Marklin 37320/37321 are both mass production items in their first year of production. Thousands were about to flood through Marklin dealers in the next few months.
So who cares about the sulky little kid down the road who booast that he is the first to get his toy?

The rest of us adults just have to be a little more patient. Soon dozens of us in this whole wide world who are willing to share, will get their models - and who wants picture from the sulky little kid?

Sorry, just have to convey my frustration on the way this thread is going..

Big D and Tim. Fully agree. I thought we had knocked this problem on the head but it appears not. I know folk like me who wont stand by and say nothing dont help but there is only one problem and as Tim says just one little kid.

This looks like a good model from Marklin and I am sure when it is available then a member will give us his views in due course. I am also sure there will be plenty available for sale during the year to allow those who wish the model to place an order.
It is almost as though Mike cant post without problems which is a shame for somebody with his knowledge.

Roger,

I am sure that we will see a red version, probably both one with round and with the new rectangular headlights in the next year or two.
Actually, maybe even as a Summer or Fall New Item this year, especially as Trix has not announced a model of the Re 6/6 yet.

I wouldn't even mind green with rectangular. It just adds to the variations as seen on the SBB.

Thanks to the photos posted on the Bahnorama Shop Site, the first comments about the final production model have started to come out:

In the Swiss Hag Forum, posters have commented on the height of the crest , the height of the lok number (side) and other small details.

http://www.forum.hag-inf...readID=3250&pageNo=9

Once I receive the one I ordered, I will post photos of it next to the Hag model of the same lok from 1987, so a direct comparison can be made.
Overall, it looks quite nice and I am always willing to overlook small inconsistencies, as long as they don't detract from the overall appearance, like an incorrect railing or way oversized crest would.

I actually asked Marklin last year, what is the chance is this model going to be released through Trix, given that as a new model, its DCM motor would likely to be more heavily criticized in the DC world as it is with the Marklin version.

Or in other words, I asked, what is the likely reception would they expect if they ever released this model for Trix?

The answer is, well, NO answer...
(doesn't sound like there is too much confidence in the product to me)

I would imagine the pulling power to be about the same as the current Re 4/4II. The Re 6/6 probably weighs a little more, so this may affect it minimally.
I would presume that, like the Hag model, the slider will be on the front bogie, the motor at the other end, with a non-powered bogie in the middle.
The Roco model has the slider mounted on the middle bogie, which enables that model to have both outer bogies powered.

As far as appearance, it has a few "Maerklinisms", which are slightly incorrect details, like the positioning of the crest, the road number and the manufacturer's plate on the side.

A "Maerklinism" is by definition "a minor detail discrepancy that could have been corrected with a few minutes extra work, but that was deemed not necessary because Maerklin is always right 'and hey, they can change it on the prototype if they really want to'."

The Roco and Hag models also had their foibles. The footboard at the ends extended too far on the Roco model and the Hag model had an unsightly line adjacent to one of the cabs caused by the molding process. The Swiss Crest on the Hag is a little oversized. I prefer both the Roco and the new Maerklin model here. All in all, it is sure to be a nice model.

Hag had previously released a model of the 11687 "Bischofszell" as the first of their New Generation Re 6/6 models in 1987.

Mike,
I hope this is the case.

Though obviously far from being a gold medal winner in pulling contest, Marklin Re4/4 II have very good pulling power for its size and weight in my experience. Despite having the same motor, the Re4/4 II would happily outpull the larger, heavier M* Ae6/6.

The key is that heavy compact chassis on the Re4/4 has very good weight distrbution - whereas the Ae 6/6 could not use all the weight it has for traction as good as the former.

Hate to say this, but at the moment it looks to be a tough act to follow for the Re6/6 judging from its described design. Cardan shaft design like the Roco model would definately work a lot better in this design..

I keep my fingers crossed until I heard reviews.

Its metal body sure looks very pretty though... so it might be enough to secure at least one sale for me.

As far as appearance, it has a few "Maerklinisms", which are slightly incorrect details, like the positioning of the crest, the road number and the manufacturer's plate on the side.

I like the expression "Maerklinism". Smile

Judging by the pictures I have seen so far, the overall appearance of the Re 6/6 is rather good, but those few wrong details could really have been prevented without causing Maerklin any additional research or costs.

Why doesnt Marklin take you guys on as consultants. I am sure you would be happy to help for a few free models and then we would all get the model as near accurate as possible. Looks a nice loco but as said if it doesnt cost extra why not get it right first time.
Take care I like Marklin and will defend the worlds greatest model rail manufacturer.

Which boogie is actually powered? (Logic says it will be one of the end boogies, but who knows?)

See HAG forum.

Cannot seem to find the required information there, I presume it is in a similar named topic to the one here and in the Marklin Section of the HAG forum. Has it been deleted??
But then I cannot speak/read German and must rely on a translator.Huh Huh

Nev, you don't need a translater, I can't find it myself.
For us to get a picture of the Re 10/10 is very unlikely and in my opinion it would contravene the official release announcement from Märklin (green light).
If for instance Lutz would release a photo of the Re 10/10, Märklin and other dealers would not be very happy with such a decision.
I will question Märklin, what role Lutz Hemmerich is playing within Märklin and how come he has access to models not even dealers are able to get.
sofar I've seen 2 pictures (HAG forum) posted by Lutz regarding the Re 6/6, one of a side view and the other a front view.

As you say Nev must be good at something. (you guys in OZ sure know big words!!)

Stephan is the HAG forum man so he could probably send you to the right thread.
