Good day to you all,

I would like to install two K83 decoders with the same address and to use outlets 1 and2 from one and 3 and 4 from the other. I have an extra decoder and it would save very long lead wires from the decoder to two turnouts on another level. Do you see any problem with this plan?

Tex

To using two k83 turnouts decoder at the same adress, takes more power consumption!

I don't see any problem at this.

At some stages in building my layout I also used more then one K83 on the same address until I was able to finalize the wiring....

Regards,
Jos

It sounds like it's worth a try based on your experience.

Should work

era - some time in the future when the space time continuum is disrupted and ICE 3 Trains run on the same rails as the Adler and BR18's.

It definitely works.

Goofys comment about power is irrelevant in the scenario describted - with only one turnout ever switching at any time.
However even if each of the 2 k83s was to have a turnout connected to the same address the system would cope - yes it would draw more power for the duration of the pulse. In this case I am inclined to steer clear of the M-Track solinoid device , but mainly from mechanical reliability reasons.

It is not unusual to switch signals/dead sections at the same time as setting points

I am curious to know why you only wont to use addresses 1 to 4. Is this because you only have a 6023 controller with its 4 accessory buttons?
