Hi, Does anyone have this set, produced in 1988? I am interested in finding out the number on the blue and cream coach from that set. (I know I should get out more, ). You will need a magnifying glass. regards Kimball |

Hi John, Thanks for the information. I actually want the number printed on the car side. If it is like the others which I have from that series, it will be difficult to read.
I am writing an article on these tin plate cars.
regards Kimball

Does anybody know if the loco in this set can be converted to digital operation? If so, which parts or kit would be needed? Thanks! Bill

Bill Welcome to the Forum Bill, COuld you put your country in your Profile. As a Guess I would say the UK The loco should be able to be converted. PArts needed would be a Permanent Magnet (Hamo) from ESU, and an ESU loklilot or loksound decoder of your chaoce. Also convert the lamp holders and Lamps. I do not have the parts at hand but someone will have them all and a small amount of soldering skill. AS this is similar to the BR38 it should have a SFCM and the necessart part list can be found in the Digital Section at the top of the list almost. At the bottom it lists ths ESU parts that are needed and they are cheaper. NN |

Hi everyone, Reviving an old thread here. I have the 4 additional cars for this set, but not the actual 2701 main set itself. Might anyone have or know of one for sale at a fair price, preferably in the USA? (aka not german ebay) Any leads would be appreciated. Please email or PM me direct so nobody steals the deal before I read your post Thanks! |
