I got my copy today. I do not understand about the message Marklin have put in that all mobile stations must have it's own power ie it's own trans so why can you plug the ms straight into the CS. They do not show that on the new CS2 booklet or the CS1.

..so why can you plug the ms straight into the CS.

As far as I understand, the MS needs it's own power supply if you run your trains directly controlled by the MS.

If you connect the MS to the CS, the MS works as an "extended arm" of the CS. In this case the CS powers the MS and it is the CS that actually drives the trains.

Svien, and Charles.

MS on its own and it must have power. If you plug the MS into the CS (using the adaptor cable) it takes its power from the CS.

WIth the MS on its own IT MUST go through the "Ugly Box" and a second MS can also be plugged in (With the adaptor cable).

With the Cs 2 MS can be plugged in. the CS can go through the Ugly Box or direct to the track. ( Different Plugs though).
