You can see in Märklin books that a loco "consumes" between 5-10 VA and that a bulb "consumes" about 1,2 VA. So an "old" interior lighting consisting of two bulbs would be 2,4 VA. I know that LEDs are more economical, but I guess there are several LEDs on each kit. And you also need two kits for most waggons. So how many VAs do two of the new lighting kits from Märklin "consume"?

And which is the word I'm looking for when I write "consume"? [8)]

each strip contains two LED circuits with 6 LEDs
see http://layout.mixmox.com/1/marklin-73400
and will consume (estimate) 2 x 30mA max. 2x 20mA each would be more likely (40mA per strip).
two strips at 60mA will consume 120mA which at 27V is about 3.2 VA
two strips at 40mA will consume 80mA which at 27V is about 2.16 VA

for that consumption you are getting 12 lights. 2 to 3 VA

(My rectified track voltage is 27 Volts)
