Hello Forum.

As I told you before, I've been busy, and haven't had much time here; but this matter NEEDS attention.

On German e-Bay, the seller named lackylok is selling lots of stuff, including:

24088 connection to mobile-station-track, so far 51 of 150 sold for 6,90 EURO each
Usual price in Europe 4,95 EURO

"UNTERFLURANSCHLUß", what we call "Ugly-box(TM), so far 17 of 47 sold for 9,90 EURO each !?! [:0] [:0] [:0] [:0] [:0] [:0] [:0]

"Special-track" 24188, with cut-out for wires, so far 9 of 100 sold for 2,99 EURO each
Usual 24188 price, without the cut-out, 2,20 EURO

If you list this sellers auktions, these 3 auktions are listed right above each other

How should we react to this?

Should we laugh of the buyers, or should we demand a compensation for John Black?

"24188 H0 C-GLEIS SPEZIALSCHIENE M. KABELEINGANG" or "MÄRKLIN H0 UNTERFLURANSCHLUß F. 60652, 60052" confused

I think a fair compensation would be:

[:p] [:p] [:p] [:p] [:p] [:p] [:p] [:p] [:p] [:p]

3 EURO for each Uglybox(TM) sold; since 3 EURO is the price difference to 24088 [^]

+

2,99 EURO for each "SPEZIALSCHIENE" sold; since these are left-overs from the Uglybox(TM) [^]

+

A general compensation for stealing this idea of John Black's; this compensation should be

in CASH, LARGE, and split 50/50 between John Black, and who ever pointed this out ( Me! )
[:p]

wink

Please let me know if you want me to make further arrangements regarding the collection of money.

Yours truly

Per.

As you say John looks a bit fishy to me. Anything from the Perllum Co that asks for cash should be avoided. As for Lackylock if its on ebay you pays your money and takes your chance.

Stand by John for action should Perllum Co become hostile.

The riddles of MRR life:
Why is a starter set with transformer cheaper than a transformer 6647 sold separately (comparing the RRP)?
Why is an ugly box with track cheaper than an ugly box without track?

A transformer 6647 with original card box is rare, hence it's expensive.
An ugly box without track is rare, hence it's expensive.

Recently I saw a class 216 loco with 2 pantographs on ebay - it's rare, it's expensive.

Glue a few wooden hand uncouplers to a 3000 loco and sell it on ebay as a wood loco from Sweden - it's rare, it's expensive (I'll only ask for 50% of the profit if you use that idea).

BTW: RRP for the track with ugly box is 20.20 Euro ...
... it's still cheaper if you buy track and ugly box separately from Lackylok (whatever that name's supposed to mean).
Regards
Tom

So you would glue a Purellum hand uncoupler to the front of a 3000 loco (at a slight downward angle) then have it on a track that is perpendicular to the main switching track. run the train on the switching track in front of the perpendicular track then run the 3000 forward to uncouple the cars. Yep that would work. [:o)]

I have bought several items from Lackylok and have nothing but praise for him. Unlike a lot of sellers on Ebay.de he takes Pay Pal (with no extra charges) & even cheques, sends everything extremely promptly, beautifully packaged, and speaks excellent English. The items I have had from him were all in perfect condition and well priced. I was especially pleased to get the 28502 RCT set from him as I have a personal connection with the real thing. I paid €119 for it, which I thought was reasonable. I have been more than satisfied with him and wouldn't hesitate to use him again and recommend him to others.

Sometimes for overseas buyers reliable, prompt service with top quality items is more important than a few cents here and there.

Cheers,

Peter.

I was not saying anything against Lackylok, in fact I just ordered a few items
( 31 x the same item, of which you only need one on a layout wink [:0] )
and are now fishing for good buys, since I have to pay the postage anyway.

And how many customers do they have confused ( Left behind confused )

I find their business scary.

A product, where the end user doesn't want the product,
even the customer paying doesn't want it.

The absolute only thing positive I can find about their products, is that never

I think Per maybe got in the wrong part of the forum... perhaps for sale ???

Stephan. Many of us in this forum find our trains fun and our threads can be very light hearted and have little to do with being serious about toys. We do however enjoy the hobby but our imagination and sense of fun is not of course to everybodys taste. We do care very much about Marklin models but take a more objective view on what we buy. Many also have considerable knowledge and can assist others if necessary.
If you like fun do feel free to join in at anytime.

THe thread was Per complaining about a E-bay Trader saying the prices were a bit of a rip-off and seeking John Blacks Assistance ( He is in Law Enforcement). It just went from bad to worse,
Except for a few sane Members, most of the posters in this and some other topics have escaped from a Loony Bin and in most cases are a Sandwich short of a picnic.

There are some inter-related topics in this thread which all started in innosence (Last year) when member Diesel asked for the part number of the Marklin Plastic THingy to uncouple couplings. From there it just degenerated.

then to confuse the issue the instigator of this topic then started the PTC which in itself is another story.

You will notice the main players are in all of these topics.

What are you talking about, Nev?
What main players do you talk about? I know nowone from Maine.

Stefan:
I think that topics like this makes this forum even greater than it would have been with only serious toy train players hanging around (I must be careful now).

One very fine thing with this forum is that you get good answers to your questions and response to your meanings, mixed up with a reasonable amount (?) of "sideline comments".
Somtimes the "sideline commenters" needs a small push to slide back into the topic.

From time to time it is difficult to understand a foreign language. What does "a Sandwich short of a picnic" mean? I am glad I am not a foreigner.

I wonder if Diesel would have had the nerve to ask his initial question if he knew what it has led to.

Except for a few sane Members, most of the posters in this and some other topics have escaped from a Loony Bin and in most cases are a Sandwich short of a picnic.

Yes, Nev, meanwhile I have become aware of this shocking fact. Smile Actually, I happened to discover "The fun topic" elsewhere in this forum yesterday, where you seem to be one of the most prominent contributors. After almost choking from laughter for about an hour and nearly falling from my chair, my wife had to force-quit the computer to prevent further harm... biggrin biggrin

An Aside, I have been sprung on another Forum. biggrin

And I am serious as I think it is a very serious forum with no fun, [:(]but I need the info. [xx(]
Good Info given, real good. Smile almost as good as here.[:p]
as it is a differetn brand really good. Iam trying to inject some humour.
Hag lovers assist please.

Nev. HAG people are very serious. They are however very nice people and also very helpful. I think they have to be serious as by buying HAG you dont know what is available or when you will get it (if ever)and HAG themselves never speak to you.
Best bet is to find a dealer who has what you want in stock and buy it. When you find out how much it costs then that is really serious.
We must be a great outlet for all HAG folk to join us for some fun and in return they will keep us well informed on all that is HAG.

Stefan - whatever you do - do NOT go to the For Sale section!wink
If you do chose to ignore this advice - then my second suggestion is this:
[size=2]ONLY trust the comments from Flash Dave and Company.
[^][^]
NEITHER trust any comments, claims or counter claims, NOR purchase false / imitation items made by Per [:0] and his minions who pretend to trade under the Purellum Trading Company or PTC. [V]

Welcome Stephan. If we can bring a z scale to the hospital let us know.

In the hope you are still reading this I am trying to get a HAG 26 030 31 or 32 to go with two Mittelland coaches I have but HAG have not replied saying whether or not it is available. Can you help?

Hello Mrs Stefan - Or Stefan's Better Half.

On behalf of the wives of theses so-called men,
Welcome to the forum.
You will find I regularly shoot Tony (Macca) - I have just brought him back 'cause I apparently sent him to hell last time (There was no Marklin to play with). [}:)]

Shelia beats Dave over the head regularly - I have also sent her the gun I used on Tony wink

Nev is kept under control by Rita, the FD (Financial Director), Roro earns more than John Black so we don't have too much trouble from those two. (Just try to find the hidden MRR receipts and spend 1.5 times as much on yourself). biggrin

Boys and there toys - Ha!!!

David, the only place this one is still listed is the webshop on HAG's own site. Have you tried placing an order there? While they can't reply to plain e-mails because their mail inbox is directly connected to the main outgoing pipe in the washroom, an actual webshop order might take them by surprise and force somebody there to wake up... Cool

The diagnosis is clear; he went to the "for sale" section, and came back hours later as a different character [:0]

Leah,
Only 1.5 times the receipt value you are underselling yourself. Follow my example at Least 3 times the value and usually in Diamonds. Well I did that when he spent $3000 in one go.

Just adding up the receipts for the past 3 months. I think a shopping trip is on the cards.

PS: Give Possum a Hug for me.
