I've usually gone to Karstadt Sport by HBF but was wondering if there was anything superior. And of course, when I go for Christmas I will go to MIWULA. So what, do you guys think is the best store for Marklin in Hamburg?
Thanks
EDIT: I looked online and wanted to know if anyone has ever been altonamodelleisenbahn? Is it a good store? thanks
Regards,
Kenneth

I was in Hamburg for about 10 years ago and there is hobbystore in the middle of centrum.

I don´t remember the name of hobbystore...

If you take look at eurotrainhobby in the internet or via www.miba.de then you can see what there is hobbystore in Germany.

I hope so...

maybe this will help :
http://www.staedte-info..../modellbahnen-4658-1.php
these two shops are 'old-settled' ones .
another hint is :
http://www.meinestadt.de...at/100-19055-19071-70406
both links not very user-friendly in my eyes, sorry for that
the two shops located in 'lange reihe' are just on the other side of the mainstation as 'karstadt sport und spiel' is. karstadt is 'only' a department store, the shops in the links from above are specialized MRR ones, not only maerklin.
with www.google.de and the 'maps' subfunction you should be able to easily locate these within hamburg.
have a good time in my hometown

yes, this is still existing, and Maerklin is available there, although not everything immediately. i think the chance of a broader offering is better at the specialized stores in the above links, and some of them offer second hand items.

Go to Miniatur Wunderland. It is in the old warehouse district, I think. There is a website.

Hello.

For once i am abel to supply some info.

First of all i will point your attention on the Hamburgmuseum on Holstenwall 24 open tuesday tru saturday from 10am - 5pm and sunday 10am - 6pm They have a great a realy great gauge 1 exhibision layout at the top floor.

Then when it come to shops, the first i will menthion is Züge und mehr located on Altstäder strasse 17. Homepage:www.zuegeundmehr.de

Next: Märklin shop locatede on Beethovenstrasse 64
Next: Modellbahn Kiste locatede on Von Axen strasse - really good second hand shop - and old spare parts.
Next: Altona Model shop locatede on Ehrenberg strasse - lots of new and second hand märklin.
Next: Brandt Modelbahn, Bahrenfeldt steindamm 68a. in Altona - mostly second hand.

All of thise shops i visited, when i was in hamburg in september 2007.
and every one is worth a visit IMHO.

Hope it can be of use
Philip

I ended up in Modell Bahn kiste (on Kirchenalee 25, they got two shops!) very nice! And very nice staff!

Another store I can recommend, wich is only a five minute walk from Modell Bahn Kiste, is Modell & Hobby Schellhaß on Lange reihe 25. Also a nice shop and friendly staff.

I bought two N-scale starter sets, one digital Roco (21200) and a very nice Minitrix set (11121) and two decoders (for the Minitrix set). It will be fun to try out some N-scale.

P.s. MIWULA was nice, as always.

how about Moduni? they show lots of interesting RR related items on their website, plus other models. Lots of Artitec and other items that I am interested in anyways.
