I think it held bunk beds for a second crew team to sleep in while the second team worked..

How much was fuel capacity changed by adding the cab to the tender? Maybe in later years these engines didn't go as far? I think I read the cabins were installed in the 60's.

37840 Br50 cabin tender "2'2'T26 KAB" = 26 m3 water, 6,6 tons of coal

A normal "2'2'T26" tender had 26 m3 water and 8 tons of coal.

This is because with steam goods train the pwg car was necessary, isn't it? That means whe should add a pwg in every goods train pulled by a steam loco?

Yes, the BR50 have only Cab Tender, No other class have it.

Interesting question - had to check a book to answer it.

It's prototypical to include a Pwg in Era I & II and even in Era III (up to the '60s) - as you say for steam trains.

Austrian ÖBB also had cab tenders - AFAIR they modified the "Wannentender" of some BR 52 locos with a cab.

the PWG is typical for freight trains up to the 60's, as Tom said, and the position of the PWG within the train is normally just behind the loco and not at the end of the train (like the cabooses in north america). nearly all pictures of model trains supplied by mother M (f.e. at the side of starter packs) show it at the end of the train....

The Austrian version of the BR52 (34??) made by Marklin has a cab tender too.
Marklin HO - all eras and everything.

it was the 3416 produced in 1995 , austrian class 52 with cabin tender on the base of a 'wannentender' (don't know the english word for it, sorry), the same kind of tneder first produced by M for class 38 in the late 60's (3098).
