The Märklin catalogue indicates that there is a Märklin book on C Track plans. I do not have the catalogue in front of me, but I think the number of the C Track plan book is 07451, but I could be wrong on the number. Anyway, the book has ~160 pages, it is in English and I believe it is from Märklin.
My question: Is this available, and where? or if any of you have any other recommendations for C Track planning books, I would greatly appreciate it

Readily available there are two such books..
Pamphlet called "Marklin Track Plan" and a booklet called "Using the Marklin C Track System" I believe.. both are good, but not great.. Neither is 160 pages however.

I have a C-track book with track plans and different track combinations. Its telling about radius and geometri.
Great book.
The Märklin No is: 07455 "Das Gleisplanbuch", 154 pages incl. glossary
PS: It shows the same track plans for K-track too. |

I did not have access to the Märklin HO Catalogue when I wrote the original post, now I am home and I can confirm that on page 421, the catalogue describes a bound book called "Track Planning Book - C Track", the number is: 07451 English Issue. The book has 154 pages.
There is a German version of the same book with number 07459, the German name on the book shown in the catalogue is "Das Gleisplanbuch". This seems to be different from another book in German only called Track Plan Book for C Track, this 2nd book is numbered 07455. Confusingly, this 2nd book has the same name in German "Das Gleisplanbuch".
In any event, I am interested in 07451 English Issue. Does anyone know if it really exists and where I might find it?

07451 does exist ! the different numbers indicates different languages for the same book. 07451 English 07452 Holland 07453 French 07459 Deutch Looking at www.maerklin.de 07455 has another frontpage so it seems to be another book - maybe an older version. I think you can buy it at any online-webshops selling Märklin |

Thanks. I did check a few on-line dealers (3 or 4) and I was not able to find it, not even a referrence for it. But I have not had time to do an extensive search. Anyway, if anyone does come across this book or anything similar I would appreciate knowing where.

I do plan on designing my own, and I already have some sample plans. Also, I have already seen your track plans from before and I found them very useful. Actually, I got a lot of benefit from everyone's plans or layouts that I have seen via this forum. I am interested in the C-Track book mainly to have as another reference.

I have gone to my local dealer about a week ago and they say they have it on order, but they say that Märklin does not prioritise these type of items (books, magazines, etc...) and the dealer could not give a date for delivery. I will check with them again in a week or so, and if they still do not have it, then I may take you up on your offer. Do you have it readily available/accessible?

Regarding the C-Track Plan book 07451 (English version) I went back to the 1st dealer and they still have not received it. I went to a 2nd dealer and they also do not have it. I am beginning to think this book does not really exist. Maybe it is another pre-announced product like the Central Station, and it will eventually show up.

Welcome to the forum; I have found it very useful and it is one of the reasons I decided on Märklin (before a few months ago, I had never heard of this company). Also, do not apologise for your English - I am sure it is better than the French skills of most of the other members of our forum (except those from French speaking countries/regions) With regard to the C-Track Planning book - I hope it becomes available soon. I would not mind a Spanish language version, however, I do not think Märklin is even beginning to plan for the Spanish language yet, and I can accept that. However I - and probably a growing number of others - would really appreciate it, if Märklin were at least faster with translations into English. Anyway, Good Luck with the French language version...and again Welcome.

I had almost forgotten about this book - when I noticed it at a dealer near to the office. Anyway, I was finally able to find and buy it. Have not had time to go through it, but I am looking forward to it.
