I finally got 3/2007 last week while I was away. Guess I'll get 04 in December at this rate.

Both my 03/2007 and 04/2007 packages that were promised form Goppingen weeks ago arrived today. Now maybe we can get this train back on the tracks and not have to have these discussions in the future.

I finally got a renewal letter from Marklin germany last week, after not getting one for some time. While I never had any missing issues like som ein the USA have had, and delivery time has not been good either (like the ones with ths contests and surveys that arrived two days before the deadline), I cannot justify to myself the benefit of renewing. The really is no substantial benefit to USA members. Nothing is done by Marklin USA/Inc at the big train shows liek the parent company does at the Treff (and we do have some big train shows here in the USA, just that most are lionel or HO DC). And we have all seen the MHI and insider editions on ebay as soon as the come off the production line (often for less than what the list price is).
I will use the money to buy more trains and the occasional issue of MIBA or EJ.

In Maerklin Goeppingen's quest to respond to my email about not receiving 04/07 I now have received my 4th mailing of 04/07 MM and the Insider News. I guess they have no way of knowing if they responded to my first inquiry.

Larry: They seem to be out of control. There is no consistency in their response or policies. It seems like we are dealing with a group of well intentioned people with no management/leadership directing their activities.

Yes, Ron, I agree and the most basic business practices/policies and records seem to be in chaos in Goeppingen. Sounds like they need help in the information technology and database/customer records area desparately. There certainly is no shortage of this type of software or expertise in B-W.
