Hi gang!

I have some problems with my 74920 level crossing and the Thomas and Percy loks I bought for my kids. When they reach the contact tracks they either stop and then accelerate again, or charge full speed ahead, or just stops dead (sometimes all of it at once).

I have connected the crossing exactly as it says in the manual, and there is no problem with the crossing itself, the lights go on and barriers go down as they should do. I have a separate 60 VA transformer for the crossing (and other lights) and the original 18 VA starter set transformer for my Mobile Station.

As far as I can tell the loks somehow suddenly think they run on an analog layout when they pass the crossing. However, none of my other loks (the THW starter set diesel and another cheap delta diesel) react like this. Furthermore, Thomas and Percy also react when another lok activates the crossing; they can suddenly jump start from standing still to full speed.

Anyone else that have this problem, or knows how to fix it? It would be sad if I have to disconnect the crossing every time my kids want Thomas and Percy to run [:(]

Hello Laffe, something irrelevant, just saw your collection of your "Hoplites 4", they seem to be Athenian.
Ps: Very nice collection you have.
Ps2: Spartans had a red panoply.
An outsider.
I'm looking for the owner of that horse. He's tall, blonde, he smokes a cigar, and he's a pig!

No change. Maybe it even got worse, not sure. The effect varies a bit from time to time.

Yes, they are supposed to be Athenian. Sadly I haven't worked on them for some time.

No other suggestions?

One thing I suspected was that bad connection would cause the decoders to reset/switch to analogue. But why the two Diesels doesn't react the same way I don't get. Could it be that Thomas and Percy have cheaper decoders?
