Hello Forum,
This is my first written lines in this forum. I have read and learned a lot and are very grateful for all the knowledge collected here.

My first question here is quite simple (but maybe not the answer):
Are there any editable CV registers in the Delta decoders? (6603x)

If yes, is the usage of them the same as for the Digital decoders?
Is it possible to return to factory settings?

The reason for my question is that I forgot to lift my Delta loco off the track when I changed some CV values in another digital loco, and now the Delta loco behaves strange. (It runs very jerky and often needs a push to get ahead.) These locos of course had different adresses, but anyway, maybe some changes had affected the Delta loco.

The lesson I have learned have resulted in a separated programming track in my layout, and serious plans to upgrade the Delta decoder to a Digital decoder.

Every comment is appreciated!

Hello Tobias,
Welcome to the forum!
I don't believe you can edit any CV in a Delta decoder. My delta-decoders only have dipswitches.
Probably I have done the same as you did: it is very well possible that a Delta loco was on the track when I programmed the one programmable loco I have; I have never experienced the Delta's being affected (however now I am also using a separate programming track just for safety).

Does your Delta run well on analog power (with the proper setting of the dipswitches)? Your problems sound more like a bad contact (dirty wheels, puko's etc.)

There is no way to program the delta chip. It was intended to be a low-end cheap chip. Sorry.

Hi Tobias,

I've done the same like you for a lot of times. But I never came across this problem.
To my knowledge the delta decoders do not have any cv's which can be changed as they were just brouhght into the market to present a "cheap" digital system and let the analogue fans get locos cheaper than to buy full digital locos.

Thanks for all your comments.
It never was my intention to edit any registers in the Delta loco.
I just wondered if they existed and could have been changed by mistake.

After reading here in the forum I have done some service actions, cleaned the brushes and the track. Now it works fine!
