I purchased a starter set before Christmas and, shame on me, didn't get around to really setting it up until last weekend. Upon opening the set, I found a 6001 transformer (120v) in it. This set also came with C-track and has a connector track and the mobile station. Upon further investigation, I find that the transformer is an older model and doesn't connect to the connector track directly (there was no cable). My question is, how do I get power to the track AND to the mobile station with set-up? Or can it even be done? I looked online for a 60055, but they do not seem to be in existence. Help!!

Thanks,

Tony A.

Hello Toni,

What was the Start-set # ???

Start-sets with the 6001 Transformer normally include a Cable from the Transformer to the Ugly Box ( Conecting Track ).
I can't find the marklin part # for this cable but it is somewhere listed here (marklin-users.net).

The connection cable is available as a spare part. But you can use any standard connector with the sam plug and connect the wires to the trafo. Polarity doesn't matter, since the connector box has a rectifier bridge.

I have a set that is the same as yours (29821). Mine came with an electrical cable that had stripped wires on one end and a plug to go into the connector track. I will look when I get home and see if there is a M # on it or in the book. I have seen this set with another transformer also.
