We're in need of at least two of these, more if possible, but I've yet to find them online anywhere at least on the english sites I've looked at. Any secrets to finding these, or are they really as scarce as they seem? We have a rather large layout that's really suffering from power problems (we have 20+ engines, 50+ switches, 5 signals, bumper lights, a turntable, and the cargo crane all running off one transformer) and we're starting to get desperate. Any pointers in finding these would be very much appreciated!

Hi Kerz, Welcome to the forum. For new 6017's, you could try the Lokshop, www.lokshop.de, or in the US you could try AJCKids www.ajckids.comFor used 6017's you could try searching ebay, both ebay.com and ebay.de Another cheaper alternate is you can use a delta controller as a cheap booster, you will find other posts on this forum that tell you how to do this. Finally you can purchase booster kits, if you are inclined to assemble electronic devices yourself. See http://www.stayathome.ch/shop.htm for details. You may want to use Google's language tools to translate the page. Good luck.

Ah yes thanks Tony, I knew there was another 3rd party booster available. Also Kerz, Uhlenbrock manufacture boosters. The US agent for these is http://www.rjftrains.com - check under the Intellibox link for the Power3 booster. Don't use the higher power booster, that is for 1 Gauge trains. Also here's a link to one of the posts in this forum re using delta controllers as boosters. Remember to always use track isolators / rockers between each of the boosted sections. https://www.marklin-user...earchTerms=delta,booster

I also use the LDT boosters. I buy the kits and save even more. They are not difficult to assemble, but if you are not familiar with parts identification, the instructions may be hard to follow. They are not as clear on parts ID as the Viessmann kits. |

Thanks a lot for the replies, so far most of the retail places seemingly are sold out of the official one, I had no idea there were 3rd party ones however, so I'll start looking closely at those. Thanks again!
