I'm contemplating buying one of each (the crane is an absolute bargain compared to other digital cranes, and an MS can be had for a very reasonable sum via ebay). Thanks in advance for any advice! PS I've also been considering the purchase of a 49961 Messwagen - would an MS be able to operate one of these too? The powered pantographs sound rather neat!

For technical/design reasons it will always operate with just one, namely the last selected function (I don't think this is any problem). Address is factory preset to 77. I'll write a review of it and post it in the relevant section here unless someone beats me to it. Now, how do I go about adding it to the MS? I realise the MS allows you to store 10 locos so presumably I need to tell it that Address 77 is a loco with three functions? Unless, that is, Marklin have updated the MS database? My MS will be a brand new split from set example when it arrives.

It is difficult to control it precisely. According to the manual, the speed of operation should be dependent on the setting on the speed knob, but I can not see anything else than "on" or "off".

Mildly annoying - Surely they'd have realised that a functioning crane for around €100 would sell very well indeed?
