Here it is- my ST800. The restoration has many flaws, but I don't care too much. I am just extremely happy that my grandfather decided to pass it on to me. It will stay in my family and hopefully one day I will pass it on to my grandchild.

A few details: it was originally the red/cream version, but I liked blue. I realize this sank its value, but with zero intention of selling it, why not make it what I thought it should be? The thing is a tank- it went through many tough days with me as a youngster. Let's just say I didn't appreciate what it was when I was 8! All lights work, runs as strong as ever, and is louder than a 767... I love it! Don't know if the catenary works... he never had cat and I have none at this point. It will not be converted to digital. As soon as I can, it will make its way into a display case that I will build from 50+ yr old mahogony (also from my grandparents).

Enjoy!

<font face="Verdana]It's really nice to read how attached you are to it. Don't ever sell it! It's a proud piece of Märklin history and I wish I could afford one.</font id="Verdana]
