Hi friends. I am the happy owner of this little beauty; but all I know about her, is the on the underside printed: “Germany”, which tells me it’s before WWII. Do any of you have an idea about where it came from? Details round the cylinder looks to me like the new replica steam engine from Märklin, 16051. More pictures here: http://www.maj.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=109669All help will be appreciated. [:p][:p][:p] Per. |

Very nice piece, but I don't think it is marklin.(I am not an expert for steam engines, but the flywheel doesn't look like marklin to me,nor the boiler or how it is attached). I will do some more research.

Nice steam engine!
Don't think that it is Märklin, but I suppose it is from Fleischmann, or -- even more probable -- from Falk.
Very interesting is the water pump. The "cup" on the rear side of the boiler is an additional water tank, I suppose ? This tank might also works as preheater, so that the water is already hot before it is pumped into the boiler. IT seems there is a valve missing between the tank and the pump input.
Very rare and certainly valueable little steam engine, I think.
