Hi All, I was wondering if any of you have a Roco 1:100 Eurofima type passenger coach and if they blend in with Marklin's 27 cm models? They make a few cars I would like to add to my sets but want to make sure sizing is acceptable. Thanks!

The fit - almost; it's depending upon which models you exactly talk about.

I've several Märklin and ROCO Eurofima cars, mainly FS, SBB and ÖBB 1st/2nd class and run them together. Except for the known bumper (Puffer) problems and the simpler versions from the former ROCO Hobby program they're ok.

Regards,
Lutz

Roco 1:100 cars are about the same length of Märklin ones. Well detailed cars, very good running.
Very probably you'll need to install Roco short couplings, Märklin ones could collide with the bumpers and make the cars to derail.
Don't mix Roco 1:87 cars with Märklin's, it is very deceptive to see the difference in length.
Have fun...

Not a problem. The 1:87 cars all bounce off of catenary masts and derail.[}:)] (Or derail on R1 curveswink)

Thanks guys. I am well aware of the consequences of the 1:87 cars on anything less than a 24" radius, but the 1:100 would help me finish modelling a few Swiss trains Marklin doesn't do.

Many Marklin cars (like UIC-X, I don't know about Eurofima) have two windows less than Roco... this is because Roco makes them in 1:100 scale, Marklin "trunks" 2 windows to make them shorter...
This makes the linear dimension and the number of windows different... I don't know if this would disturb...

I think this is a must: in my layout marklin couplers make cars derail in every curve...

Bye
