Hi All:

Can anybody recomend a good book or two about German railroading (Era II or III) in English? Is there even anything out there like this?

One of the few books I have found in English about German railroads is "The Great Train Race". It's a study of the development of the railroads in Germany and France prior to WWI. I know this makes it Era I, slightly before the time period you are looking for, but may be helpful to you. More along the time period you looking for(Era II) is "The most valuable asset of the Reich:A History of the German National Railway 1933-1945" Other than these books the pickings are mighty slim.
