Hello,

Rumor has it that Märklin will issue a new all-metal version of the lovable VT98 shuttle. Wishfull thinking?

http://www.modellbahnecke.de/imaerklin.htm

Hopefully the trend follows with full metal versions of VT 515 and of the SBB RAM 501 in true 1:87 HO scale, please!

Greetings,
Armando
Best regards,

Interesting indeed. But will these railcars be really sold at Euros 499.00 ? ... a little bit too expensive for me unfortunately.
Pierre.

I hope these cars will be affordable. 499 euro price sounds like there would be multiple units in a single package.

Wonderful pieces.
I hope they come in pairs, that would be nice.

??? I'm a bit puzzled right now, who told you these railcars would sell for Euro 499 ??? I have not seen any price mentioned anywhere up to now, as this model has not even been released yet. Please confirm who said 499 Euro !!!

Thank you Pierre,

Hans

Pierre was only joking, of course! It's his way to say that probably the item will be overpriced. But I'm sure he'll buy it all the same, n'est-ce pas Pierre?

Maybe Pierre was looking at the price for the item below, the 26355, "Preis 499 EURO"? I made the same mistake at first glance.

THAT's the answer Pierre, now i understand why you thought it might be 499 Euro. But that was the price quoted for the new Adler version.

Hans

From Modellbahnecke http://www.modellbahnecke.de/maerklinn.htm in Germany

39980 H0 DB IV 798/998 mfxSnd Schienenbus N06 03/06 314,10 €
39985 H0DB IV 798 / 998 mfx Schienenbus N06 03/06 269,10 €
41980 H0 DB IV 998 Schienenbus Beiwagen N06 03/06 62,95 €

Note that the 39980 has mfx AND sound and the 39985 is mfx only, no sound.

I'd buy the version with no sound if if didn't come with that *#% mfx.

They also have info out on the US start set, NYC PA with mfx with sound. Don't know if that's new, but there's a pic at http://www.modellbahnecke.de/bilder/maerklin/29575.jpg.

Thanks for posting the prices here Peter.

Please be aware everybody that the prices quoted 314,10 Euro with sound and 269,10 Euro without sound are already for TWO units, the Motorwagen PLUS the Steuerwagen. Which makes it a realistic consist already. A "Beiwagen" was only used when demand made it necessary.
