Looks good, but can I suggest that you try and find a way to have the trains that leave the terminus come back in without reversing?

Hi Mike. I have the same comment as above. Also, how wide is the layout supposed to be? You have to be able to easily reach across to fix up derailed trains without leaning on part of the table top. A comfortable width is about 60 cm, with 75 cm being the practical maximum, depending on how high it is. Maybe if your plan were a bit longer but narrower?

A good point about it is that you've made the hidden storage tracks the same length as your main station tracks.

If it's a metre wide and you have access to both sides that means no more than 50 cm reach to the centre, which is pretty good. In which era are you setting it?

Sounds a bit like mine - I started out strictly adhering to an Era 3 scenario, but since then I've bought lots of later stuff. Let's face it Mike, our layouts will never make it into the pages of Railway Modeller or Model Railroader Cool
