Here and there I heard about this 60902 mini version with a much smaller PCB. I am really desperate to look for one to fit my Kittel. Anyone knows about this? eg. Part no./where available ?

Thanks so much
Chan

A good alternative to a small 60902 is the Uhlenbrock 76500 (76520 with NEM plug) which is 22 x 12 x 5 mm (1.1A). The Kuehn N025 is even smaller, 11.4 x 8.8 x 3.3 mm (0.7A). I have not tested the Kuehn decoders, but e.g. Kurt Bothner has a competitive price on http://www.bothner-model...e/html/digitalteile.html .

Hi Eric,

The only thing I know is,there once was a Mini C90x decoder.
I don't think you'll find this item in a catalogue, however it might very well be sold as a spare part.
Regretably I don't know the sparepart number, nor the loco(s) which have one installed as original equipment.
Maybe someone else on the forum could give some more information on that.

Hope this helps a little.

Best regards

Hello,

I have a E69 (37475), inside this loc there is a small decoder, but I think it is a smal 60905 and not a small 60902, because the loc has a special motor.

The description of the decoder is:

603781 Decoder Lok Digital N2RP 37475

The decoder is not available anymore, according to marklins site.
With the decoder number and google I found:

http://www.bogobit.de/de...r/dectype.html#mini60902

There is said something about a mini 60902.

Hi,

Presently, Märklin offers a digital conversion set 60760 for older loks with drum collector motor. The set consists of a 5-pole motor and a simplified, very small fx decoder (not a 60902)

As it seems, the decoder has no load regulation. And there are no additional functions f1, f2, f3. acceleration/deceleration delay is available.

The conversion set is for 40 EUR and only available until november 30.

Don't have such a set, but it would be interesting to know whether the lack of load regulation might be a problem.

If there is no load regulation, buying the spare motor parts and combining it with a Kühn T145 looks the better option to me, at an equivalent price... A bit of a disappointment, that lack of load regulation.

Thanks to everyone for so many info. The mini 60902 turns out ot cost 102 euro from lokshop!
Guess I'll try a lokpilot and compromise with the performance.

Apparently this is not a very competitive price. At other (local) dealers here the price for the 60902mini is below 30€!

Thanks Lutz, that surprise me too, I check the no.s according to bogobit's web page, those are 603858, 603808, 605549, 603462, all cost 108euro in lokshop.

Can you name some web shops with reasonable price as you mention ?

Thank you.

As could be read from my previous reply, I (solely) buy my spare parts at my local dealer(s) and hence and not through web shops. I am also not in a position (and don't want to) to judge how those dealers make their prices. Nevertheless, by comparing local dealer prices with those of Lokshop and alike I was sometimes quite "puzzled" (for regular products too). Cool

Some people have stated this one here being a "real cheap one", but I never had a need to use it myself: www.modellbahnteile.de

Some time (years) ago I got five of those from another model railraoder (Dirk Möller) for 45€ each. He had them also from his own local dealer; which I don't know personally.

The referred numbers to Siegfried Grob's website are either no longer existing (for example #605549 from the 37401) in Märklin's DB or are truly expensive, too.

Sorry that I can't give you more information.

Regards,
Lutz

One should keep in mind that the Kühn decoders are not suited for AC analog operation, which is still quite common, also for many digital users.

Thanks again Lutz.
It's very hard to get enough resource on this side of the earth. It's a lonely battle here. Guess I have to live with what's accessable. [:(]
Thank you very much for your patience.
