This loco has been a topic before: https://www.marklin-user...ault.aspx?g=posts&t=2429In this thread no real answer is provided on the appearance of the model. In my opinion it possibly is one of Märklins own conversion cases. End 2004 Märklin has converted some regular models into MFX models under the same article code (there for example is an 37184 MFX) possibly this 37747 is something like that but with a "new" article code. Can anyone confirm this or does anyone know the offical history of this model? |

Maybe you mean 30747 ??? That is a yellow / red BR 218 ??? |
I like M-track and my things that run on it were built between 1959 and 1972. |

Ok, now I found the following: " 37747 DB IV 218 TEE Farbe mit mfx Decoder neu im Sortiment" dated 11-01-2004 on this webpage: http://www.modellbahnecke.de/imaerklin2004.htmRegards, Johann PS: In "Stummi's Modellbahnforum", which remarkably resembles this forum here, the administrator claimed that: you can find 37747 within the internal Märklin data system, but not on the homepage. reason, he claims, is that this loco was first delivered with a 6090* decoder, then they ran out of those, equipping them with mfx decoders. So nobody really knows at present which number would be the proper one, and therefore, they are just messing it up at Märklin ... The prices given in this forum are between 110 Euro up to 135 Euro, New in Box from official dealers !!! |

I've read somewhere that these locs have their original product number on the box and that a sticker with "mfx" is added to it. This is an unconfirmed list of the concerned locomotives: -37073 -37251 -37724 -37725 -37562 -37914 -37401 Best regards Guus |

Guus: This list looks common to me... It's the list of some of the locos I was talking about in my earlier reply on this topic. You could add 37184 to it. I've seen the numbers you mention in your post except for the 37914, so I can't confirm that one. |

Thanks Sander,
One thing is still not clear to me. Can you confirm please that ,apart from the M 37747, a sticker with" mfx" is added to the boxes of these products?

Yes, there is a sticker which says MFX on the boxes. (In the same place as the Delta sign is placed at some boxes) Good to hear that 37914 also has been available in a MFX version. That confirms the list as a whole I guess... |

Do anyone know if there is sound on this loco, and if so, what kind of sound ?
Or is it "only" the new mfx decoder inside ?
Do anyone have this loco or tested it ?
Thanks,,,

It's only the new mfx decoder inside, so no sound... I don't own the loco myself, maybe someone else does. |
