A Milwaukee Road Hiawatha Passenger train - all metal cars. There were several different sized steam locos used, all with similar paint schemes.
Would be appropriate given location of MArklin USA headquarters.

I would like to see some Maintenance of Way equipment. Stone blower, Tamper, Ballast regulator, etc. I think that a couple of these would be a great addition to any layout.

The one thing I miss most for my Union Pacific division in statu nascendi is a workhorse like the GP9, or a switcher like the USRA 0-6-0 or and SD (see http://home.quicknet.nl/qn/priv...erg/jeroen/switcher.htm for the switchers). Also, wouldn't it be nice if they made a new batch of UP F7 A and B units? The prices these are presently sold for on Ebay are preposterous. Finally, I hate the "single-run series" for their extremely limited availability. For example, take the 49610 (ALCO PA unit for double traction; to be controlled by 37610 PA master unit): I tried to order one last year January, but they had gone already. As a result, the price for a 49610 on Ebay is now higher than what it cost new. Jeroen |

From the 2005 rolling stock list, most likely only the Henschell-Wegmann.
But.... most likely a lot of electonics, i.e, CS, booster, connection boxes, cables, K-track, etc, etc, since 2005 is the Year of the Layout! I'm moving in a couple of months to a new and quite large apartment where I'll have a dream area to build something large if I wish.... And I will wish!
From previous years and via eBay, one 37059 and one BR 44 of some sort.
I must confess also that I have been lately getting quite a few Brawa items.... This is definitely a brand to watch. I'm quite eager to see what their 2005 neuheiten are...

If this is a wishlist topic, I wish for a BR 58 steamer. Trix has one in N scale, so surely one day it will come to HO too. Lots of these great loks were around in many versions/countries for many years, so M could even make a profit on this gorgeous 1'E steamer. Mother M* build it and price it ala BR 59, but if they consider selling a lot of these beauties, they should aim for a lower selling price. So, at a price of EUR 300 it will sell it in big quantities, and not only to me...

hi Bernhard (Dudok12), there has been a BR58 for AC made by Fleischmann, i have that one but it is era II and so i will sell it via ebay some day...
Personally i miss some locos which hadn't been in the first row like BR01,BR44 and so on : these are mainly BR64/BR65/BR66 and BR82/BR94, there have been several BR82 by Piko but i would like of course one by M,series 37....
And, more important than the locos : a real 'mobile station' without cable.... there has been an IR based in former time but this is no longer available.

I am glad that someone on the previous page posted a picture of a South African Railways Garratt. I saw one on a photo run in 1982 in South Africa and they are a wonder.
Another South African special would be a Class 25C condensing locomotive. Built for runs across the semi deserts, they used a lot less water than a normal locomotive.
Lastly, A Southern Pacific Cab Forward, or at the very least, a Union Pacific Big Boy.

Now we've got all the details and suddenly I'm not that sure about this one anymore [8)]. She's darn expensive (€450.- !!!), got NO C-sinus motor, also whistle and bell are NOT to be operated with my trusty CU 6021 ... M made sound access possible for ALL my new locos (PA-1, Mikado, BigBoy, 18.4, E94) - why not for the GG-1 ?????? [xx(][xx(][xx(] Perhaps I'm better off when adding another Gator E94/194 to my small collection. The 39223 comes to my mind - a true C-sinus WITH whistle to activate. And I'd save about €110.- . Must try that GG-1 before making an decision ... John |
